Die Kuh im Kühlschrank

Chicken in the refrigerator? A TV without electricity? Does this exist in Hanover as well? Of course: In the interactive exhibition “Die Kuh im Kühlschrank” at Kunsthalle Faust!

In “Kuh im Kühlschrank” kids and their companions have the chance to discover all kinds of curious, interesting and amusing objects. The kitchen, the bathroom, the children and living room made of paperboard familiar aspects in a new context encourage dealing with questions of sustainable development. Thus, it is for instance possible to fathom first-hand the origin of the breakfast-ice cream as the way of the toilet-dishwater through the paperboard-toilet, through the canalization and the purification plant.

In the exhibition kids have access to sustainable development subjects: Nutrition, consumption, water as a resource, energy and environment. While sampling and gambling, while the interactive creation and active exploration or while just speaking and philosophizing about the topics, the visitors can discover the connection between the own action and the environment as well as the connection with other humans all around the world.

Apart from the exhibition an accompanying program for kids, families and educators is offered. With the aid of second-hand objects new imaginative objects will be created. Sustainable concepts for everyday life at home and the day-care-center will be established together.
